Tips About Kids Memory Verses

• Select 10-20 bible verses to focus on over a period of a year. If you start in the middle of the year only choose half that amount. To make life easier plan on choosing your next 10-20 verses before December 31st. So that each December your have chosen your children's memory verses to start for the new year, January 1st. This way it keeps you more organized and you don't have to second guess yourself as to when you should select new bible memory verses. Another good time to start is at the beginning of each new school year. It's really up to you, what ever works best for your family.

• Pick out 3-5 bible verses from the 10-20 bible verses that you have selected for your child to learn. Focus on those 3-5 bible verses for a season, until your child is able to recite them to you consistently. Next, start a new selection of 3-5 bible verses from your original 10-20 that you selected at the beggining of the year. Remain on this new set of scriptures until your child has once again consistently recited them to you. Then return back to your original 3-5 bible verses to run through them again. Children easily forget things they have learned and benefit from reviewing them again to get them deeply rooted into their hearts.
